I have recently aquired a mare that is pregnant and should foal sometime in march, and I don't know anything about what to look for when it's time for here to foal can anyone help me?
Read..A LOT! A good book for that is Blessed is the Broodmare. There are sites online as well. Or you can contact a breeder and ask them questions. Many have things on their websites or places like this. Now is the time to start preparing both you, and her. Make sure you have a clean paddock or large(12 x 24) stall for her. Make sure you get a foaling kit together and Let your vet know. . good luck with your new mare.
Eddie, this site is invaluable ... read read read, you will learn lots of little tricks of here and there is plenty of information. I don't think there is much that hasn't been covered on this board ... just make sure you have a bit of spare time up your sleeve as you will need it!
Eddie - you are in the right place! I have Blessed are the Broodmares and Complete Foal Guide (Theresa Jones). They are both very good books that walk you through the entire pregnancy and birth. Blessed are the Foals is also a good book for after. Just start reading the old posts for the site. You will find that many questions you have and those you don't even know you have yet, have been asked and answered many times over through old posts. If you can't find what you are looking for, just post it and you will receive many responses. One of the things I learned is that since this site is international, sometimes you need to give some geographic information to some questions (ie when can you turn out a new foal to pasture has a lot do with weather, temp, predators, etc). Most of the information is the same where ever you live. You can also post a pic of your gal through photbucket.com. We like to share all the horses!

Its all the stuff you need for a foal/mare at foaling time. If you get foaling books they can help you out. There is a thread on here somewhere as well on what different folks put in their kit. My kit is a back pack with towels, enemas, a tube of pro-biotics, iodine, betadine, knife, ivemectin paste, a cup for diping the navel, my foaing book Blessed is the Broodmare, electrical tape( I found it works the best for my horses tails to keep the hair out of the way), latex gloves, k-y, exam gloves and something I am forgeting..hehe
