Filly was born yesterday around 4pm. She was straining some after a few hours, so I gave her a enema. She then passed several normal poops. This afternoon she has had a few runny/gloppy orange/yellow colored bowel movements?? She is energetic and nursing well. I have some equi-phar paste(bismi-probiotic paste) is she too young to use this on?? Oh and her temp is normal.

Keep a close eye on her, and if the manure does no firm up, and continues to be runny and yellow colour, contact your vet immediately. This may be an indication of a bacterial infection, which could ultimately manifest as neonatal septicaemia.

What was her IgG level? You did check didn't you? Failure of passive transfer is common in foals, and failing to test the IgG levels of the foal at +/- 12 hours is one of the leading common denominators found by USDA-Aphis in a retrospective study of foal deaths within the first 48 hours performed in the 1997 foaling season.

This link takes you to an article about FPT.

If your foal does get sick, get your vet out immediately and start antibiotic therapy - these little guys will crash and die on you so fast your head will spin. No kidding - get your vet, no matter what time of day or night it is, and start antibiotic therapy before they leave (do not get talked into doing diagnostics first - you may not have time to get the results before it's too late).

This is not something that can be either diagnosed or treated via the Internet. You need to get a veterinarian out to look at the colt as soon as possible, as you may be looking at a systemic infection that could prove fatal if left untreated.
