Hi there. I am just wondering how long you give a foal's legs to straighten out. I have a 4.5 mo old TB filly who still toes out more with her left front than her right. She is still pretty narrow chested, I just don't know at what point you say this is no longer a baby issue. Mom is pretty broad chested, and tends to toe in a touch when her hooves are long, dad is pretty straight. I am very willing to accept slight toe out if that is what I have, but I didn't know if this was still part of her growing into herself. Thanks

At 4 and a half months, I wouldn't be too worried yet. But I definitely would start doing some corrective trimming with her hooves. That will help a lot.

Hi. I had the vet look at her as he was out to check my mare. He said she has a minor valgal defect, and correction needed to be done before 3 mos, but he probably wouldn't have recommended it because it is so slight. He also didn't think it would affect her performance capabilites, so that eased my mind a little. I suppose I am just an obsessive first time mother! Farrier has been trimming her for it since her first trim, I noticed it soon after birth, but didn't worry until now. Thanks so much! this board really is very helpful.
