My mare started on regumate on Wednesday as prep for going to stud next week. I took her temperature tonight and it's up for her - she's up to 38.1 and her normal would be 36.8 or so. Could the regumate be causing this and if so is it something to worry about? If her temperature is still up in the morning then I'll be getting in touch with my vet.
Regumate is a synthetic form of a naturally occurring hormone, so no, it is extremely unlikely that it is anything related to the Regumate.
In fact, your horse's temperature is well within the "normal" range (37.6° - 38.5° C) and it is not until 38.8°C is reached or exceeded that one generally feels there is an indication of a problem, as temperatures fluctuate naturally depending upon time of day and climatic conditions (among other things).
