Princess is looking very pregnant (or very fat), so I ordered a WeeFoal test (120). Here are the results:

Is this a definite "no"?

When was she bred Brenda? Do you have an exact date? Typically, this result on the 120 means negative, but I have known it to be wrong when the line is very faint like that. If you're pretty close to the 120 day mark, I'd retest in a couple weeks. Email that pic to susan at weefoal, and ask her (adding your dates) if she thinks you should retest. She's been known to send out another test if it wasn't a clear result :-)

Thanks, Diana. I don't have an exact date. She was pasture bred. I will try to take some pics of her tomorrow and post the link to them. I did e-mail WeeFoal a few minutes ago and attached the link for these pics of the result. (BTW, my husband got a big kick out of me following the horse around waiting for her to pee! lol!)

haha, i dont have the patience for that! I just duct tape a bunch of paper towels to their bum, and wait it out on camera. LOL Just as funny, but twice as boring as foal watch LOL!!!

I'm curious how things ended up with this mare... I just did a wee foal test and had a similar result, however most of the line was barely visible (like the "ghost line" that the directions say some pregnant urine samples can produce), but the very bottom of the line was dark. At 5 minutes it was just a very faint line, but at 10 minutes the bottom was colored. The mare I did the test on is "possibly" 249 days (i say possibly, because if she is, there were a LOT of odd factors involved, and a very wrong vet!)

The vet did a rectal palpation and said she is not pregnant, although she did say the mare looked pregnant. I guess we'll know for sure by this time next year, sigh!
