My mare this weekend was unmanageable when I got on her back. She rared up and threw me while going down a small hill. Tuesday noticed a lot of yellowish, creamy discharge,, actually kind of stringy and snotty. Pee was dark yellow and full of this stuff. Covered her vulva area. Called vet and he thought it could be kidney or bladder infection. prescribed penicillin shots for 10 days then a caslick. She is tipped and a wind sucker, many babies. Don't plan to breed again. Any suggestions or comments please.
Iíd follow the Vetís advice with the antibiotics and maybe do some research on a Caslick operation.
