Some of you may remember that back in October I had Princess, my 14 year old saddle horse, ultrasounded for pregnancy as her belly was getting low and large. The US was negative. HOWEVER, it seems as though her belly is still getting bigger. I felt her udder and it is enlarged and very firm, almost hard. I will take pics the next day or two and get your opinions. One of our vets is coming out Friday to geld our two stud colts and I will have her check Princess at the same time. We got Princess the end of July this year, so if she is pregnant and far enough along to have an udder and big belly, it must have happened before we got her. We'll see what the vet has to say Friday. If she is, I'll be a nervous wreck the whole time and you can bet she'll get the series of 3 Botulism vaccinations. I am still grieving deeply for Pistol Pete.
Udder is down, belly is down. Looks like no pregnancy, but I am still watching her closely just in case.
