Okay folks, our ranch is growing and we decided we want to put our stud back to work so we bought a little teasing stud to chat up the girlies for him. He is a 10h Shetland type thing. He is a very athletic little monster who would be a very well proportioned little horse were it not for his hay belly. I bought him for $150 this winter as a semi-rescue. He’s six according to the gal I bought him from but he has older teeth, and I know he has pasture breed at least one mare. He was barely halter broke when I got him but this winter but he’s much better now. He teases the big QH girls fairly well but today he started to get pretty grumpy with me when I made him leave the pretty mare who was practically pushing the fence over to try and get down to his level. I realize that part of the problem is lack of respect but I think he probably would be happier if he had a girlfriend. I just have trouble justifying breeding a unregistered pony who I think would be an fairly nice horse if he had been handled more but is currently a little $^!# so I can’t decide what to do. I was just wondering what other people do in regards to teasing studs and keeping them happy.

I can't be the only one on this forum who keeps a teasing stallion, can't I?
Anyone looking for a free ponny breeding

I have 2 Friesian stallions, but they are not for teasing.
