A friend of mine is worried about her stallion yesterday after breeding a mare He fell off of her backwards like he had passed out.She called her vet and they didnt seem to be concerned.

Used to help a friend with her Arab stallion... he would cover the mare, then his eyes would roll back and over he would go.... dead faint.

It was alittle scarey the first time and sure got the handlers to move quickly.

They worried he would kill himself failing off and even take the mare down with him. Never did... but they started breeding him in a deeply bedded sand pit to cushion the fall.

You could never make eye contact right before he'd squeal and get right off the mare.... so everyone just whistled and sort of looked sideways at him.

I'd contact a large equine clinic and just get some good advice of how to handle him during so no one gets hurt.
Man ,I could just see him fainting on a phantom mare that has no "give to it at all" he'd be stuck up there til he came to.
