This isn't actually a handling question but I noticed standing behind my stallion after riding him today that in the crease in his 'ball bag' there was a small sack of fluid/swelling. Poking it didn't induce any pain response and it just seems like it was a little pocket of fluid. I've never seen anything like it before and hadn't noticed it previously. I'll check in again in the morning but it was weird....! Anyone have any idea what it could be or what might have caused it?

It is probable that this is nothing more than the epididymis, which is a normal portion of the testicle. If you trace it carefully, you will probably find that it is actually a sack that is attached to the testicle.
During or shortly after exercise the testicles will tend to be pulled up into the scrotum which would make such an extension of the testicle more obvious as the scrotal skin will be pulled tight.
