hi all, well i found your site a couple of weeks ago been readying up on everything and i love this site, you all are so great!!! well i been watching my mare for a couple weeks and last night it arived! a balface overo paint, its a filly and i have a question. she is holding her tongue out is this normal for a new foal?

Hi Sharon,

Three years ago my first foal was born with his tongue hanging out! To this day he "sucks" his tongue when he is just "chillin". I can grab it and pull on it and he can care less...it just hangs out on the right side....I can usually tell when he is relaxed by his tongue action. Congratulations! Post pics if you can.

my rope horse has an abnormaly long toungue and he sticks it out when he's "chillin" as well. Doesn't seem to bug him.
