Hi...I bought a very pregnant mare at a sale 3 weeks ago and she had a filly this morning...I am not sure when because when I looked out the window at 8:00 am it was playing in the corral pen..I didn't think she was ready to foal because her bag wasn't tight and no sign of wax or dripping milk but I guess she fooled me..lol...I am wondering what color you think the foal is...the sire is a sorrel and she has had a buckskin and a palamino off of him...http://s405.photobucket.com/albums/pp134/jojocountry_album/paige/ |

Wow, two for the price of one. What a pretty little girl! My guess she's a palamino. I'll bet that was a fun surprise! |

We knew she was due mid april so I have been watching for signs...obviously whe doesn't show many other than bagging up some...We only paid $400 for the mare so I think we got our moneys worth...lol..registered cutting bred mom and baby |

I think the baby may be a sorrel as the mane and tail are red in color. I am no color expert, but that was what I was told when we had ours. She is a beautiful little girl, though. And I am SOOOOO jealous of you - - - reg cutting bred mom AND baby for only $400!!!! What a steal. I am assuming you can register the baby, too? What are the blood lines?
BTW - - I am a HUGE sucker for a sorrel - love them to pieces! |

Yes she will be registered..her mom is tontosduallinpistols (her dad was a champion cutting horse and she goes back to bueno,two eyed jack,and some racing qhs ) and the sire is Lenas shiney jewel who is a champion cutting horse who also goes back to pocco bueno,fritz etc.. |

Very pretty filly!! Does she have a dorsal stripe?? She kinda has the looks of a red dun foal, if no dorsal stripe I would guess sorrel. Beautiful filly! |

Pretty baby and the mom ain't bad either. LOL! What a deal you got for a healthy, registered cutting, pregnant mare! Wow.

I never noticed a stripe so I think sorrel too..she is pretty light colored though.. |
