She is at day 337 today, foaled at day 338 last year. Her vulva was extremely swelled (past the butt cheeks)last night @ 1:30 AM(looked like a cow ready to drop a calf) and udder was hard. This morning @ 7:00 AM her udder hardness and vulva swelling has regressed from the extreme it was at last night. We have not had this happen before..when our other mares get to that point we have a foal in a few hours. Never had one go backwards on signs like this. Any input would be appreciated. She tested a fast 6 squares on the milk test last night @ 7:00 PM. If you had a mare do this to you, how long before she foaled...after she went backwards with the udder hardness and extreme vulva swelling?
