A gal I board with has a mare due any day now. She started bagging up a week ago and had no problems letting us check her. recently her bag has become bigger, but it is hard and warm to the touch. She swishes her tail and becomes irritable to the slightest touch on/around her bag. Her milk is yellow and sticky like honey. She had no problem letting us check her prior. She dose not mind having her vulva checked. Should this be a concern?? I told her owner to call her vet, but I dont know if she will. I also want to add, we do not "bug" her everyday
Her bag is just very full, and that's probably making her sore and uncomfortable. Just tell your friend to keep a close eye on her and keep checking her milk like cathy said. Good luck!
