One experienced and one maiden mare. It was an odd year trying to get them to take. Finally, both were ultrasounded in foal 45 days ago and now they have both lost the foals. Here is it the middle of Sept. and we are without 2006 foals.
I'm having problems this year as well. I did manage to get all of my outside mares in foal, but only got 1 out of 4 of my own mares (although one is a mare foaled this year and refused to come into heat until around 3 months after foaling)...
FWIW, every year, we hear "it seems to be a strange year this year for getting mares in foal" from someone!!!
