I have been told by the Dairy farmers that their cattle can abort if the cows eat Cypress trees and also that the foxes leave a scent on the ground around breeding time which causes an infection and the cattle to abort. Is this true for horses as well(if at all)?

I doubt it as I've had cypress planks on my stalls for years and never had a mare abort or re-absorb.
thank you for your reply it seems unlikely but all of the local farmers agree that it is the case with the cattle.Better safe than sorry.
