Hello I had my mare bred on May 14th and she was checked in foal at 14 days and again at 36 days. She started showing some signs of heat toward my gelding that she has always been in love with in July. I was getting ready to give her the 5 month vaccine and had the vet out to palpate her first to make sure she was in foal. The vet told me she couldn't feel a baby in there. My mare was at 170 days when she palpated her. Could the baby still just be out of reach??? What should I do next. She does look pregnant to me. She is just starting to get that cute fuller looking belly.
Foal may be out of reach, over the pelvic brim. You can check by blood or do a home wee foal test.
