Does uterine fluid mean she'll abort? Fetus is at 75% of size.

The fetus should be surrounded by fluid that is within the uterus! That would be amniotic and allantoic fluid!

What has given you the impression that there is fluid there that shouldn't be?

Jenny, I was hoping Jos would have answered your latest post. I am very curious what the problem might be. I know how worried you must be. I hope the pregnancy will progress and you have a healthy foal.

Without actually seeing the ultrasonic images, it is difficult to form an opinion. The other question that is of significance, and I probably should have asked initially, is - at what stage of pregnancy is this mare? I had assumed that as you used the term "fetus" she was >40 days, but thought I should ask!

If the fluid showing on the ultrasound is black in colour, rather than speckled, then my initial hunch still holds true that what you are looking at is simply amniotic/allantoic fluid. If it's speckled though, you may be in trouble :-(
