My mare is 77 days right now, and as far as I know, still in foal. I have no reason to believe otherwise, but we've not checked for awhile. I've had a head injury, and so my mare has sat on pasture for the last two years. I want to start working with her again, bringing her along really slowly. Is it safe to do that? If not now, then when is it safe to do that?}
I would say If started back very slowly it would be ok. If you can trail rider her I think that is good for them both mentally and physically. I wouldn't ask for anything to hard since she is pregnant and has had a few years off. I believe the better shape they are in the easier they foal. Good luck with your mare.
