I just thought i would let you know that i have madonns results back...nothing was found, definitely no infection, no bacteria was found, cord was ok, afterbirth was ok, foal was ok, and after a biopsy from Madonna which will be done this week and a culture test or what ever it is called we are free to rebreed, the only thing which hasnt been cleared up was if the foal was too early because my vet spoke with the clinic and he assumes it was early but i will check that again myself!

I want to post picks of my maiden Miss Molly but the pics wont upload...problem with my computer!
She look fine only she has a really relaxed vulva for a mare due in june...i hope this is normal??? i will post as soon as i can!!

Oh and Grannika was inseminated today at 9am and the vet examined her and said the follicle was already gone...it was still there yesterday at 9 am...do we realistically have a chance do you think???

Hi Saffron,

It depends on when she ovulated that follicle. If she did it right after she was examined yesterday, then probably not, but if she just did it overnight, you have a pretty decent chance!

Saffron,
I'm glad you got the results back. While bittersweet, at least you know that your mare is ok.

I don't have a good answer for you on the follicle/breeding thing. That would be a Jos kinda question.
But, I guess it would all depend on how long it was after breeding that she ovulated.
Best of luck and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, if you'll do the same for me..ok?
