We have a maiden mare who is not due to foal until around 19th July. Tonight I happened to look under her and she has some very tiny tiny tiny blobs of wax on her teats. The udder is not full nor the teats long. She is quite full in front of the udder along the milk vein. This will be her first foal.
I wouldn't think so. My mares normally have a tiny bit at the tip in the "hole"s.
