Too bad no one answered this one as I would love to know the answer..Kathy...Jos??? I have a mare coming in today to be bred to my boy and the owner tells me that she gave the mare her spring shot (5-way) just last night, for some weird reason, it sent a red flag up in my mind....is this something to be worried about? Thanks
Most would tell you to vaccinate with enough prior time before breeding or after breeding. Don't do it at the same time you are trying to conceive. The baby develops the first of the pregency and that is when defects are most likley to happen, during the development stages.
