Strike 3 and we are OUT....u/s open today. Still showing fluid in the uterus..started the mare on thyroL..will bring her back for workup in early Spring. I would like to know since her uterus still has fluid, is it healthy to let it stay like this until next year? What could we do to help her clear or is it a moot point? The caslick remains. Linda :(

Sorry to hear you've had no luck.....
It is possible that the fluid in the uterus is estrus oriented, and is not there during diestrus. You can use the good old Oxytocin during estrus, but it is generally not recommended for use during diestrus as it can induce colic or colic-like symptoms.
Once the mare enters winter anestus (if she does) her cervix will relax, and any fluid present will be able to drain naturally, so as long as she does indeed enter winter anestrus, you shouldn't have a problem.
Good luck next season, and keep in touch!
