1984 QH mare. 7th foal at side. Has always taken on first cover. Rebred Mid May via Shipped Semen. Ultrasounded in foal at 19days. Just rechecked Friday(55days) and is open, so obviously implantation did not happen. Vet says this mare has 3 large cysts (20mm each) and 6 smaller(10mm) cysts in the uterine body. (In his notes it says "Looks like Ovary). The 3 larger cysts have been present for at least 5 years...but it seems like they have grown since she was preg checked at 19days. And now she has all of these smaller ones...not initially noted before. Is it possible for cysts to grow and multiply that fast? And why have they never given us problems before. My vets advice is to forget breeding this mare. Do I have any options?

I also might ad that the vet said the mare had a good sized CL remaining. Not sure what that means...but possibly she had ovulated again?
