Hi, I have a mare who we have presented to the teaser 3 times in the AM. She is still not ready to stand as of this morning(3rd day). She has been flagging her tail and winking for 3 days....she squats a small amount until the teaser gets near her and then she stands still and pins her ears and slightly swishes her tail. I know this is her heat, because I tracked her all for the last 3 cycles. Are there some mares who just won't stand and need to be hobbled? Or is it possible she won't stand until she is ready to ovulate or could we be missing it?

The answer to all three of your questions is "yes".
I'd get her ultrasounded if I were you. It will give you some definitive answers.
