Has anyone had an experience breeding and foaling out a mare with a hernia? I am looking at a mare that has a small hernia, less than a finger opening. And I have had a couple breeders tell me they have had mares with worse hernias do fine and sometimes the hernia is actually better after foaling?

I have a mare that got a hernia while she was pregnant the size of my fore arm in length. She was able to foal and she is now losing too much weight. I hope she will be ok. The colt was born June 14, 2004
