We have a mare that foaled on June 7th. I am trying to calculate when she will be in heat for her 30 day heat. Specifically, will she be near ovulation at 30 days or just coming into heat??? Help, the time is coming up!

It is impossible to accurately predict the day of ovulation in this manner. The average window of ovulation for the foal heat is day 5 to 15 post-foaling. The next ovulation will be approximately 21 days after that.
You will need to have the mare teased by a stallion (and hope she shows - some lactating mares won't) or checked by palpation or ultrasound (ultrasound is prefered as it may require multiple palpations to accurately determine her status, while one or two ultrasounds should do the same).
Thanks for the response! We have the vet coming today to ultrasound her. She is teased every day and is not showing any heat. Her foal heat went almost undetected except for her foal having diarrhea. I don't want to miss her as it is getting late in the season. We really appreciate the education you provide on this board. Thanks
