I have decided to breed my mare (first time for me, third for her). We got a clean bill of reproductive health, AI at the perfect time (2x), the stallion's semen tested excellent on that collection, and she didn't become pregnant. I know that we can't MAKE these things happen, but I overheard a conversation in the barn about NOT de-worming during the first 60 days after breeding. All of my books written by vets say to maintain a rigid de-worming program...?? It just so happens that her de wormer was due in the first 30 days after she was bred. Is it possible that is what caused the failure to settle?
