I had a friend give me a never been used Colorado A/V Kit so I could start shipping semen from my coming 4 year old Mustang. He's been live-bred to 6 mares for 2013 foals with no problems. He's the sweetest guy ever but lately I've had a few demands for shipping semen. I thought I'd try it out but before I do ANYTHING I'd like some insight. I have the kit, the instructions etc but it is all confusing to me. I was wondering if anyone had experience with these problems and if you can help me along? I don't want to put my stallion in any danger so I would like help before I even decide to try this on him.
I'd also like for anyone to help me with the shipping costs, what to do, etc. I'm in Washington, US and have some people in South Dakota, Texas, and California wanting a breeding to him.
There are courses that you can take to teach you about collecting but you need someone experience to train your boy. you can get fedex over night quotes on their website. Just shipped Florida to Texas around $100 if you have a fedex account and do it online, more if you don't.
