ok well now i have no more gel i have solved this problem,he is happy for the most part. put his concentration is all over the place from 30 Million/ml to 160million/ml mostly averages 80/100. when we had him tested the day the vet was here he did 317million/ml and more a couple of days later. but since then not as good. its seems to be somewhat slimy also at times. i know its not as good because its greyish looking and even watr looking sometimes. i have collected him twice at times (20 minutes after) of course the volume isn't there which is fine but it looks alot better and the concentration is higher and motility is also good. would it be ok to ship the seond collection??
You are filtering the semen thoroughly before evaluating it aren't you? It sounds as though you may have gel fraction in the semen (hence the "slimy" effect), and if you do, that will blow the sperm counter concentrations all over the map!
i think i finally might have him figured out.lol yesterday i drop the temp in the AV. and the semen was much whiter and the concentration was the best its been in awhile. so i think i am on the right track. he gets collected again tomorrow so i will try the exact same thing to see if in fact that is it.
