I am not familiar with the horse in particular, but would like to point one fact out that may be significant in your case.

Post-thaw progressive motility levels do not equate to fertility (pregnancy) rates.

In other words, simply because you have progressively motile sperm present when you thaw the semen and inseminate the mare - even at the most optimum time - you may not get pregnancies because those sperm have undergone cellular changes during the freezing/thawing process that have rendered them incapable of fertilization. Those changes most commonly affect the cell membrane, and a structure at the "head end" called the acrosomal cap and so you can still have good motility...

Not following the Olympic Dressage then Jos? <grin>

Wie Weltmeyer is one of the British Dressage team horses - ridden by Emma Hindle. He was our great white hope today - but was just a touch disappointing - perhaps the heat didn't suit him.

As for his frozen, haven't heard anything detrimental on the gossip network.

I haven't dealt personally with this horse's semen but I did just recently read an article that was stating that he is extremley fertile and that his frozen semen quality was very good. Hope this helps.
