He is everything I want, but in a older body...LOL He settled all 4 mares on first cycles last season according to his current owners. And his semen was "Very Active" according to a check by their vet last spring. They have owned this stud for 20years, and only bred him to a handful of their own mares each year. I want to get him checked out for breeding soundness, what do I do? And what should I ask the vet to check? I was also told to have his heart checked? "Very active" cannot reliable define how good his semen really is; it's too vauge. I'm curious...why are they selling this stallion?
