Double post -- sorry. Anyway, I acquired an elderly (20yrs. old) Arab stallion that I will be using primarily as a teaser. But because of his wonderful disposition, good pedigree and nice show record, I have several local mare owners who would like to breed to him for a very modest fee. I think this is a great idea, as it would keep him happy and he could "earn his keep". So far however, the only mare he's bred this year (a 5 yr. old maiden) did not conceive (only did it one cycle). Last year he got three o/o five mares in foal, but not sure how long it took to do that. This old guy was in fairly poor shape when I got him so I'm "feeding him up". Any suggestions as to a feeding program or supplements that might increase his fertility?
Winners' Bee Pollen makes a product called Bee Prolific- I give it to my stallion. Also, flax seed oil (or just the flax seeds themselves in feed)and wheat germ oil are great.
I HAVE A DONKEY JACK THAT HAS BEEN COLLECTED AND FROZEN THIS PAST MARCH NOW HE IS SHOOTING BLANKS IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN GIVE HIM TO HELP HIS SEMAN MOTILITY?
