I have a mare that is at the end of her third month and I think she has dryland dystemper. Will that have any effect on the pregancy? She is eating and acting fine, abcess has not opened yet. She is getting the best of care. Thank you
I have seen mares with "pigeon fever" that had no problem with the pregnancy because of it. Are you in CA?
If the mares were eating, drinking, and not running a temp, we just let them get thru it. If they went off feed and spiked a temp we put them on ABs. Most did fine on just a little bute to help with discomfort.
