I have a five year old jenny ( mini donkey female) I have her with a two year old miniature stud. she looks kinda big!!! HOW else can i tell if she is pregnet. Her stomach is kinda hanging down. She is more quiet . What are some more definate ways to tell if she is pregnet! She seems more slow are those some sighns!! i hope so. Please leave a mesg

well it depends how far along she is but if shes showing enlargement then you could probally check her udder... if shes getting milk then shes probally pregnant. Also you can see how she acts around other horses, you know your horses persinality so your the best to decide the changes.

she is more calm and and quiet. But i thoght they don bag up until one or two days before birth? Thanks

This is my first year and u when we bred our mares the only thing different is that they didnt go back into heat.

Heard that some mares will show heat when there pretty far along. Slowing of normal movement is a small part; it depend on some mares maiden might not bag up until after foaling but experiened mares will bag up a couple weeks before.

before birth foals are high and wide on the mare, when u stand behind them you see it sticking out to the sides. but before birth the foal gets into postion where they seem to sink on the belly and if you look behind her you cant see the foal sticking out as much.
