I just had a general question of why my mare would be having discharge and could it be from infection or would spontaneous abortion show this sign. She is feeling fine, in fact I have been riding her lightly for the past week or so. I just noticed the discharge when I have taken her out of the pasture to saddle her up for my 5 yo daughter's lessons. She was bred on April 25th live cover, (supposedly 28 days gestion if she took) but I have not had her checked via ultrasound or palpated. I have a stallion on my farm to tease with and she showed no signs of heat 18-22 days. Should I just take her to my vet and have a pregnancy exam done on her and then inquire as to whether he thinks she has an infection that is causing the discharge? I have noticed this discharge for the last three days. Thanks for your help in advance...
