I bred a mare (live cover) today. She is maiden however, I had her hymen broken 2 weeks prior. After my stallion dismounted, I see blood around the edges of her vulva. Should I be concerned at this point? Will the blood kill all the sperm and pregnancy is almost not going to happen this cycle? I don't think there was much blood and I really think that he just tore remainding tissue? Any similar experiences or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I wouldn't be too concerned if there is a small amount of blood, no the blood won;t kill the semen and she can almost certainly get pregnant, unlikely she wouldn't.

Yes, Blood will kill the semen, but normally the point in which everything happens the semen gets past the point and will not be hurt. Non tech. terms of breeding ! So she could still become pg.
