Mares come in heat every 21 days, correct?? 21 days from the day they start? How long are they in season for?? When should I ultrasound my mare? Is 2 weeks from her starting heat ok?? I need to get her checked to see if she is ready to breed!! We have a stud, ad she has been showing heat to him!! Please email me at Shorepuppy@aol.com

If you are outside of Seattle and still looking for a vet who loves reproduction work I know of two for you to try. One is Northwest Equine in Covington (253)639-2909, Steve Latimer, the head vet there specializes in reproduction and did an awesome job with my mare in 99 although we were unable to get her in foal that year due to poor semen quality. If you are north of Seattle Pilchuck Animal Hospital in Snohomish has a whole reproduction center - the bonus here is that most services are a flat rate up front.
It may be too late to help you but for anyone else looking in Southern Oregon the nearest I know is Crane Creek Ranch in Roseburg. You can google them.
