Does anyone know a supplier that will sell formalin to an induvidual in Ontario, Canada?

You can typically obtain 37% formaldehyde in liquid form (diluted in water) from a feed and farm store in Canada (not the US) - it is used to disinfect chicken barns.
Formaldehyde is an ingredient of Formalin. The 37% formaldehyde mentioned above is considered "100% formalin". Typically formalin used in the laboratory (for semen evaluation) is 10% formalin, so 3.7% formaldehyde. It is therefore necessary to dilute the 37% formaldehyde further using a suitable diluent. I have used buffered saline (DPBS) and indeed, in a "pinch" I've used unbuffered saline.
These ingredients are all very cheap, but do note that they are considered carcinogenic, so they must be treated with care and respect.
