We have our (now deceased) stallion frozen - the cost of paying an outside service to keep this frozen semen is becoming very expensive. What would we need, and how much should we expect to pay, to store it ourselves? This would be for our own on-farm use. Thanks!

The total cost will depend upon how many straws of semen you have, and what size the straws are.
If you have a smaller number, then you will be able to get away with a tank such as the Millenium XC20 tank, as seen here. Cost - $639. You will need to refill this tank about 4 or 5 times a year - cost for nitrogen will vary tremendously depending upon your source... typically somewhere between about $25 and $100 per fill.
If you have more straws than the above tank will hold, then you are looking at a larger tank - count on +/- $1,200 for the tank, and about 6-8 fills a year at between $60 and $240 each (again depending upon your nitrogen source).

This looks perfect - we don't have that many straws (about 80 0.5 ml straws)! Thanks very much, Jos!
I am looking to cover a rather damaged phantom with leather. Any recommendations on type and thickness of leather?
