This is my first post on this forum and I cant say enough about how excited I am to have found a forum like this!
I am in the process of starting my new AI collection ( fresh cooled) stallion station on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I am heading off to Olds College to do my collection courses and breeders school on the 18th of Oct.
I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice? I have collected before, actually quite a bit with a stallion I used to ride. He stands here with me now and I know he will cover the phantom.
Does anyone have any good tips/advice on collection and training the new studs to the phantom?
I would LOVE any advice on how to set up my facility. I plan on using a large , new shed (made for large farm machinery) as our phantom shed, the shed has never housed any machines, so the ground is in great condition.
I also will be leasing all the equipment form a friend of mine who will not be breeding for a couple years, she has the phantom , AV's , microscopes, counters , everything.
I would love to hear about what equipment people prefer and any tips and tricks.
Thank you for reading my first post, I'm pretty eager so I appologize for the length of it!
I'm so happy to have stumbled onto this great board! I cant wait to get to know you all
