A friend of mine's chocolate palomino mini mare just had a baby out of a black mini. It's kind of hard to tell what his color will be, what do you think? The parents aren't registered, so I wouldn't be able to give you any of their background. Without shedding his foal coat yet, what is your best guess? He does have a dorsal stripe, but it may not be a true dorsal stripe(I forget, is it called shadowing or something?) Cute isn't he?

that mare is not a chocolate palomino, it's a silver dapple, probably on a black base !
but with a black sire, she should produce only black or chestnut, and this foal seems to be bay ?
maybe the stud isn't black but dark bay ?

anyway, I love the mare's colour, and they are both very cute !

Well, your guess is probably better than mine, as my friend was just told this was her color! Hmmmm, so I wonder what color he will really be? I'll try to get a better pic of him on here today.
