Ok I am really really new to this paint thing. I have a new mare that was already bred when I got her. She is a bay/overo, her sire was also bay/overo, dam was ?QH. Last year she was bred to the same black stud and threw a black colt. What would she throw if she was bred to a buckskin?
If she is bay, then you could get black, bay, buckskin, all with the chance of them being overo patterned. I think she could also throw smokey black if bred to a buckskin ?!? And if both parents have a hidden chestnut gene then she could also throw chestnut or palomino. Hope this helps Renee
