HI All! Any way to get a guarenteed palomino out of my Bay mare? Or will it always be a 50/50 palo/buck odds? (when bred to a double dilute) My mare is out of a bay stud and a grey mare. THANKS!!! Diana
OK - That is also another question I had. If I want a buckskin - then putting a perlino to my bay mare should do it? Perlinos and cremellos so not have the same odds with a bay? I think perlinos have the agouti gene? Thank you!!
perlino x bay does not guarantee buckskin unless one or both are homozygous for black and agouti. Otherwise you could still get palomino or smoky black.
