so I'm expecting my first foal in the spring. I know the only way to know for sure is to wait and see! but, wondering if anyone has any educated guesses as to what my chances are in getting a colored foal?
mom is a 1/2 Canadian and 1/2 paint. She is a black and white tobiano paint. dad is a colored warmblood, and is a bay and white tobiano as well. I know its hard to judge without knowing ALL the family history,as well as more on the genetics of the pair, but curious if I can get some ballpark guesses?
Hehehe, I am the bearer of Bad Karma, lol. My Hetro Bay Tobiano Paint mare was bred to a Hetro Black Tobiano stud, and I got a solid black foal! 25% chance or less of a solid and it happened! Best wishes to you for a colored foal!
