I am not sure what color he is. He has a broken 'line' down his back and a light mane and tail.He also has some white hairs sprinkled through his coat on his whole body, although much more around his blanket.
And I measured him, he is 13.2 hh.:-)

How can you tell the difference between sorrel with flaxen mane/tail and a palomino?
I have been looking it up and cant seem to find the answer.

what color are his parents? he doesn't really have that gold "sheen" that even very dark palominos carry....his legs are very much red. And it would be unusual to see a palomino appy so brightly colored, especially with his dorsal stripe...that happens alot in sorrel appies, but usually not in palomino appies. Just a guess....if he has a mom or dad who's a cremello or palomino, it's possible I guess....just not likely.

Thanks D, I dont know his parents yet, but was just curious.
I have been trying to figure out the difference. I did find that there ios also a flaxen gene, I need to see if it can be tested for.
