Last year I purchased a 5 y/o Registered Tobiano Paint she is now 6 and she is turning white. I can see white hairs starting to grow in rapidly and starting to fill in her black patches. Does this normally happen? Will she completely white in time ? (She is a bit sun bleached in the one picture.)
Kerri, I've owned paints for sometime now and have never had one that is a true black turn white. Is there any chance of being gray? with the pics its very hard to tell. She looks great it the first pic, but is very sun bleached in the last one. do you have any closer pics of the "white hairs"? she could also have roan genes. what are her bloodlines? and colors of horses in her lines?
Kerri,i also have a blk/wht paint horse she has a few white hairs in her blk patches but not much, but i can pretty much guarantee you that horse in the picture will NOT turn all white,it could just be some roaning.
