My thoroughbred mare has the classic rabicano markings on her tail head and flank. Is this something that is dominant and will be passed on to offspring, or is it a 50/50 type thing?

Also, I am wondering what my color chances might be for this cross:

I am breeding my mare to a presumed Dunskin stud. His sire was a golden Palomino and his dam was bay dun. My mare is bay with the rabicano and I am pretty sure her sire was chestnut, so I guess that means her dam had to be bay. (?) I tried using the color calculator, but I was confused when it came to the extra options. Is palomino considered a red base color?

Who knew genetics were so confusing!

Oooops! I just found the answer to one of my questions......Palomino is chestnut with one creme gene. Gosh this stuff is confusing!

Oh, and to add another thing.....the stud I am breeding my mare to has thrown two buttermilk buckskins out of the same mare, which I believe was a light palomino. If that helps any! :D

Edited to add his pedigree and pic:

I bred a miniature rabicano stallion for years and never got a rabicano foal :-(

Heres a color calculator
