Does this condition skip generations? To what extent is it hereditary? May just be a temporary thing (as in maybe jaw pulled out of line during birth? Yes, it does have a tendency to be hereditary, but not always. Sometimes good vet work done while foal is young will corect minor problems. And yes, like everything else, it can and does skip generations - it could also be caused by other things, like screw ups during development.
