I was wondering if anyone has seen this. My buckskin yearling was born with a black smudge/spot on her neck which is all gold. I am wondering if this is considered a blemish or an acceptable natural occurence on buckskins/palominos. I have seen this before on a palomino, only the spot was on her hip. I am hoping it isn't considered a blemish....any ideas? She was born with it, so it wasn't the result of an injury or vaccination spot.
I have seen several palominos with the same condition before and never had them considered blemished. In fact I have heard some people say that like the "bloody shouldered" horses its means its be blessed or is lucky.
